RNLI Callout and Messaging System - We helped the RNLI save lives at sea by transforming their communications

Improving how lifesaving crews are alerted in emergency situations

The Challenge

The RNLI relies on fast, reliable communication to mobilise volunteer lifeboat crews during emergencies. Their existing callout and messaging processes needed modernisation to support critical decision-making under pressure and ensure crews received clear, timely information when every second counts.

Legacy systems limited flexibility and reliability during emergency callouts.

Communication workflows needed to support multiple scenarios and escalation paths.

The solution had to be robust, intuitive, and dependable in high-pressure, time-critical situations.

RCAMS has given us the ability to understand our availability and our response levels in real time. Now we’ve got one unified way across the whole of the RNLI. One system makes it easier for everybody. Ultimately this is going to help us with our goal of saving lives at sea.
